Silver Cassia

Silver Cassia

The Silver Cassia is a shrub that grows on sandy soils in desert woodlands. The silver Cassia has yellow oval shaped flowers and thuds.

Adaptations

The Silver Cassia has narrow petals on the flower with few stomas so it does not let out as much water, which can help it in the desert climate. The Silver Cassia is also a Perennial Plant, which helps it live for a number of years. It also has reflective hairs, which also helps it survive desert climate by protecting it from the sun, and also gives it a silvery glow. On the branches grow small oval shaped yellow flowers which allows the plant to get nutrients and water from the bottom roots of the plant which give the plant the energy needed for them to survive. These flowers bloom in spring around October.

Threats

Fire is a common threat to the Silver Cassia depending on the age and strength of the plant
